It was refreshing to be around my family and go out with friends. Although I'm not originally from York, Pa and hate that I call such a backward county home, there is something comforting about being home (a.k.a. with my family and friends).
I enjoyed talking about everything but school with my friends. I don't like talking about school or what I do as a community facilitator with people outside of Point Park University because most people don't really get it. I usually end up telling my friends I go to school and I'm kind of like an RA.
Over the weekend, I went to two Halloween parties and spent a lot of time with my parents. This weekend was definitely a chance to let my hair down.

Upon my younger sister's suggestion, I decided to wear her old Hooters uniform and be a Hooter's zombie. It's pretty awful. Even worse, my mother took pictures.
As I had hoped my parents spoiled me (over fed me) and were understanding about my academic slump. The more time I spend away from home, the more my parents and I appreciate one another. I actually have a good time with my parents. When I first arrived we stayed up talking until almost 3a.m.
Maybe I didn't get any sleep this past weekend or realization but I certainly had a much needed reprieve from responsibility.
